Ilustre Ingeniero:

Nos referimos a los últimos acontecimientos en los Estados Unidos con respecto al caso de nuestra familia que consta de tres inmigrantes rusos: Igor Bitkov, Irina Bitkova, Anastasia Bitkova y el guatemalteco nacido Vladimir Bitkov (un ciudadano guatemalteco de origen de seis años al igual que usted). Nos gustaría informarle a usted (ya que piensa que la CICIG es la mejor opción contra la corrupción), que la Comisión de Helsinki de los EE. UU. (Referencia 1), el Comité de Asuntos Internacionales del Senado de EE. UU. (Referencia 2) y el creador de la Ley Global Magnitsky – Bill Browder, así como algunos congresistas estadounidenses, han pedido una investigación sobre la colusión entre la CICIG, los jueces guatemaltecos, los fiscales y el gobierno de la Federación Rusa, que son responsables de la ejecución de continuas violaciones de los derechos humanos de todos los miembros de nuestra familia.

El Congreso de los Estados Unidos congeló en su momento el apoyo financiero de los Estados Unidos a la CICIG (6 millones de dólares, referencia 3 y 3.1) haciendo necesario que el Inspector General del Gobierno de los Estados Unidos forme un equipo para dirigir una investigación más amplia sobre las actividades de La CICIG, especialmente en la presunta colusión entre el Kremlin y la CICIG en la persecución política de nuestra familia.

Por lo tanto, nos sentimos personalmente responsables de pedirle respetuosamente a usted que esté preparado para sorpresas con respecto a la CICIG, jueces, magistrados, fiscales y abogados que están involucrados en el caso “Bitkov” y que culminaron en actividades malignas que dan penas de prisión de 19 años para Igor Bitkov, 14 años para Irina Bitkova, 14 años para Anastasia Bitkova por supuestas “violaciones de pasaportes”. Las acciones de las autoridades guatemaltecas también violaron los derechos humanos de nuestro hijo, Vladimir. Creemos que la verdad sobre nuestro caso finalmente va a salir a la luz.

Es dolorosamente obvio que la CICIG ha abusado de su mandato otorgado por la ONU, cuyo objetivo era fortalecer el sistema de justicia en Guatemala, no perseguir a las familias de inmigrantes como el nuestro caso.

Dear Honorable Ambassador,

We refer to the last developments in the United States regarding the case of our family that consists of three Russian immigrants: Igor Bitkov, Irina Bitkova, Anastasia Bitkova and the Guatemalan born Vladimir Bitkov (a Guatemalan citizen aged six). We would like to advise Your Excellency (As you country is one of those supporting CICIG in Guatemala) that the U.S. Helsinki Commission (Reference 1), the Committee of International Affairs of the Senate of US (Reference 2) and the creator of the Global Magnitsky Act – Bill Browder, as well as some US congressmen, have called for an investigation into the collusion between CICIG, Guatemalan judges, public prosecutors and the government of Russian Federation – that are responsible for executing continuous violations of human rights of all the members of our family.

The U.S. Congress has frozen U.S. financial support for CICIG (6 million dollars, reference 3 and 3.1), and it has been determined necessary that the General Inspector of the Government of US should form a team to lead a more extensive investigation into the activities of CICIG, especially into alleged collusion between Kremlin and CICIG in the political persecution of our family.

Therefore, we feel personally responsible to humbly ask Your Excellency to be prepared for surprises in respect to CICIG, judges, magistrates, prosecutors and lawyers that are involved in the “Bitkov” case, and that have culminated in the malign activities giving the prison sentences of 19 years for Igor Bitkov, 14 years for Irina Bitkova, 14 years for Anastasia Bitkova for supposed “passport violations”. The actions of the Guatemalan authorities also violated the human rights of our son, Vladimir. We believe that the truth about our case is finally going to come to light.

It is painfully obvious that CICIG has abused its mandate given by UN, which was intended to strengthen the Justice System in Guatemala, not to persecute families of immigrants like ours.

CICIG AND THE CASE OF BITKOV FAMILY

Dear Honorable Ambassador,

We refer to the last developments in the United States regarding the case of our family that consists of three Russian immigrants: Igor Bitkov, Irina Bitkova, Anastasia Bitkova and the Guatemalan born Vladimir Bitkov (a Guatemalan citizen aged six). We would like to advise Your Excellency (As you country is one of those supporting CICIG in Guatemala) that the U.S. Helsinki Commission (Reference 1), the Committee of International Affairs of the Senate of US (Reference 2) and the creator of the Global Magnitsky Act – Bill Browder, as well as some US congressmen, have called for an investigation into the collusion between CICIG, Guatemalan judges, public prosecutors and the government of Russian Federation – that are responsible for executing continuous violations of human rights of all the members of our family.

The U.S. Congress has frozen U.S. financial support for CICIG (6 million dollars, reference 3 and 3.1), and it has been determined necessary that the General Inspector of the Government of US should form a team to lead a more extensive investigation into the activities of CICIG, especially into alleged collusion between Kremlin and CICIG in the political persecution of our family.

Therefore, we feel personally responsible to humbly ask Your Excellency to be prepared for surprises in respect to CICIG, judges, magistrates, prosecutors and lawyers that are involved in the “Bitkov” case, and that have culminated in the malign activities giving the prison sentences of 19 years for Igor Bitkov, 14 years for Irina Bitkova, 14 years for Anastasia Bitkova for supposed “passport violations”. The actions of the Guatemalan authorities also violated the human rights of our son, Vladimir. We believe that the truth about our case is finally going to come to light.

It is painfully obvious that CICIG has abused its mandate given by UN, which was intended to strengthen the Justice System in Guatemala, not to persecute families of immigrants like ours.
